Green Noise Machine: Sleep App — last updated August 8, 2026

Green Noise is a colored-noise player for sleep and focus, published by Sinan Haskiris ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and why. The short version: the app works without an account, collects no analytics, shows no ads, and never sells data.

Data we collect

• Anonymous identifier. On first launch the app creates an anonymous user ID via Firebase Authentication (a Google service). It is a random identifier — it is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal detail, and we cannot identify you from it. It exists so that early-supporter ("founding member") status can be stored per install.
• Purchase information. If you subscribe or buy a lifetime unlock, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple. Our subscription-management provider, RevenueCat, receives the purchase receipt and the anonymous ID above so the app can know whether premium is active. We never see your payment details — Apple keeps those.
• Founding-member number. If you claim a founding number, that number and your anonymous ID are stored in our database (Google Cloud Firestore).

Data we do not collect

• No name, email address, or contact details
• No analytics or usage tracking
• No location data
• No advertising identifiers — the app contains no ads
• No health data — sound preferences stay on your device

Third-party services

The app relies on three processors, each receiving only what is listed above:

• Apple — payment processing (App Store)
• Google Firebase — anonymous authentication and database
• RevenueCat — subscription status management

Tracking

The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and shares no data with data brokers or ad networks.

Data retention & deletion

The anonymous ID and any founding-member record persist while the app is installed. Deleting the app removes local data; to have the server-side record deleted as well, contact us with the request and we will remove it.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date above.
